I enjoyed the opportunity to answer questions from the business community in Idaho Falls. Thank you to the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce for inviting me. Small businesses are essential to economic growth and I am proud to support them in Washington. This week we celebrated the opening of Idaho Women's Business Center in Eastern Idaho in partnership with the Idaho Hispanic Foundation and the Idaho National Laboratory. The IWBC has a proven effective program, and we are excited to have them become a part of the Eastern Idaho business community. Less than 3 months after enactment and The Great American Outdoors Act is already benefiting Idaho. Governor Little's Strong Families, Strong Students initiative has launched. Eligible parents can apply for $1,500 per eligible K-12 student with a maximum award of $3,500 per family. Families can use the funds to purchase or receive reimbursement for eligible educational materials, devices, and services. Apply HERE Congratulations to UAMPS on their $1.355 billion cost share award from the Department of Energy, to be located at the Idaho National Lab. SMRS = clean, reliable, carbon free power that will keep the lights on in the future. Learn More HERE I was fortunate to address Governor Little's Leadership in Nuclear Energy Commission concerning my efforts as the Ranking Member on the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee. Congratulations to Dr. Mark Peters on "Mark Peters Day" proclamation. His leadership to INL and the State of Idaho is deeply appreciated. The IRS announced that it’s extending the deadline to claim an Economic Impact Payment by five weeks to help individuals who haven’t yet received a stimulus payment.
