Dear Idahoan,
President Biden's failed border policies have incentivized unprecedented levels of illegal immigration and allowed the deadly flow of fentanyl to infiltrate our country, leaving our southern border less secure.
Earlier this month, the House passed my Fiscal Year 2024 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill, which included an amendment prohibiting funding to provide housing to migrants in a United States National Park.
However, due to the Biden administration's open border policies, this prohibition must go further. No federal land in the United States under the administrative jurisdiction of the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, or the Forest Service should house illegal immigrants.
This week, the House is expected to vote on H.R.5283 - Protecting our Communities from Failure to Secure the Border Act of 2023.
This bill prohibits the federal government from using certain federally administered lands to provide housing to any non-U.S. nationals who have not been admitted into the United States.
