This week, the House passed critical legislation prohibiting another Biden administration attempt to destroy our nation's automobile market in their rush to mandate electric vehicles. This bill - Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act - is the latest vehicle that stops President Biden's radical EV transition.

I proudly cosponsored legislation to help veterans attain homeownership this week. The VALID Act requires a Federal Housing Administration mortgage notice to contain comparative rate and fee information about loans available under the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) home loan program. You can read more about this legislation below.

I had two productive meetings with the Shoshone-Bannock and Coeur d'Alene Tribes this week. I always enjoy sitting down in Idaho and DC, chatting about crucial issues and how my office can help.

CARS Act Passes the House

The Biden administration's radical push to force Americans to drive electric vehicles is driving up costs, hurting American jobs, and emboldening China.

After proudly defunding this EPA rule in my Fiscal Year 2024 Interior Bill, I am excited to see House Republicans go one step further and pump the brakes on this ridiculous mandate.

Veterans Homeownership

Every year, many VA home loans go unused, and countless veterans miss out on the opportunity of becoming a homeowner. The VALID Act will correct this unfortunate reality by providing veterans an opportunity to learn about available resources and increasing awareness of the VA home loan financing options.

Our country owes an immeasurable debt of gratitude to America's veterans. Through our gratitude, we must ensure veterans are supported and made aware of the services offered to them. I am proud to cosponsor this important piece of legislation.
