Veterans Day is when we should all pause and honor the men and women who fought to protect our freedoms and way of life. This week, I released an op-ed highlighting the importance of this day in the United States. The full op-ed is available below. 
 

Interior and Environment Idaho WINS
 

Last week, the House passed my Interior and Environment Appropriations bill. This legislation has numerous wins for Idahoans and Americans nationwide.

This bill:

  • Fights against the Lava Ridge Wind Project proposal
  • Prohibits the listing of the greater sage-grouse under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). 
  • Fully funds the Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) program.
  • Repeals President Biden’s overreaching Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule.

Our veterans have devoted their lives to protecting and serving this country. We owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude for their valiant service.

For over two decades, I have been proud to fight for the men and women who have fought so valiantly in defense of our nation and made tremendous sacrifices to preserve our way of life.  We are all indebted to them, and I consider it a privilege to stand with our nation's veterans. 


Working for those in uniform and our veterans has been one of my top priorities in Congress. I promise I will continue to fight for those who have fought for us.
