The Simpson Standard

April 7th, 2024

Dear [salutation],

Through this year's appropriations process, I was proud to secure over $70 million in Fiscal Year 2024 Community Project Funding (CPF) for Idaho. Despite claims that CPF projects are "wasteful earmarks," Community Project Funding gives me the opportunity to bring Idaho tax dollars back home for Idaho priorities instead of going to blue states like California or New York.

This week, the City of McCammon officially broke ground on its new fire station, marking a significant step forward for the community. Find out more about this new fire station below!

Securing Resources for Our Communities

Community Project Funding fills a clear and present need in communities across Idaho and enjoys broad community support. The federal dollars designated for CPF projects exist within existing budget limits. Rather than that money going to fund projects in different states, CPF projects give Idahoans a critical voice in determining where budgeted funding goes.

I am proud to be Idaho's only appropriator and honored to secure funding for Idaho's projects and priorities.

McCammon Fire Station

I am proud to have secured funding for this crucial project in 2023. I look forward to seeing firsthand this fire station's positive impact on residents through swift EMS response times and serving the needs of those in Bannock County.

Whether you realize it or not, every one of us depends on American agriculture every day. Farmers and ranchers across Idaho feed and clothe our nation and help meet the needs of countless people worldwide. Idaho is home to nearly 25,000 farms and ranches, producing more than 185 commodities. As a representative of one of the most productive agricultural districts in the nation, I am proud to fight for American agriculture in Washington.
