Dear [salutation],

This week, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the United States Border Patrol. Many thanks to the brave men and women who have protected our borders and the American people for the last 100 years!

Throughout 2024, Idaho National Laboratory (INL) will be celebrating its 75th anniversary. INL's innovations have significantly contributed to Idaho's growth and development and have strengthened American prosperity. I have been proud to support INL throughout my time in Congress. Read my latest op-ed with INL director Dr. John Wagner below.

In case you missed it: Last week, the House Committee on Appropriations voted to advance the Fiscal Year 2025 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill. This bill included a provision that I authored directing the VA Secretary to consult with affected stakeholders and veterans impacted by the State Veterans Home Construction Grant Program projects approved prior to the Build America, Buy America Act.

Thank You, U.S. Border Patrol!

Now more than ever, we must stand behind our brave border patrol agents and support their essential work on keeping fentanyl out of our country, protecting unaccompanied children from human trafficking, and preventing dangerous illegal immigrants from entering our country.

Thank you to the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our borders and keeping the American people safe.

Celebrating 75 Years at INL

INL has had a remarkable journey and achievements in nuclear energy, cybersecurity, and beyond. Beginning in 1948 as the National Reactor Testing Station, the Idaho site has been conducting groundbreaking science that has helped power American prosperity while ensuring national security and environmental stewardship. INL, and the many people who have worked at the lab, have made the world a better place.

ICYMI: Standing Up for Idaho Veterans

The language I worked to secure in the FY25 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill Report urges the VA to engage with affected Idaho State Veterans Home voices to ensure our veterans are not negatively impacted.

The three facilities affected in Idaho are Boise, Lewiston, and Pocatello. I was pleased to support this bill and am proud to work to ensure that Idaho State Veterans Homes voices are heard. Read my full statement below.
