Dear [salutation],

Needless to say, it has been an interesting week in our nation's capital. I am - without a doubt - frustrated, but I am hopeful Congress can avoid a government shutdown. Shutting down our government is never good politics or policy, and I will do everything in my power to avoid this disservice to the American people.

Despite the few bumps in the road this week, I had a lot of productive meetings with constituents and groups from Idaho. As your proud Representative, I will always work for the people of Idaho's Second Congressional District.

I would also like to congratulate Teton Elementary in Fremont County on being named a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School! Check out more below.

Meeting with the Lapwai School District

David Aiken, Nathan Weeks, and DelRae Kipp from the Lapwai School District swung by my office in DC this week.

The Lapwai School District has remained committed to ensuring students reach their goals and receive a good education. Thank you for all your hard work!

Supporting the Gem State

I always enjoy sitting down with the Idaho Mining Association, JR Simplot Co., Integra Resources, Revival Gold, Perpetua Resources, and Hecla Mining.

Mining plays a vital role in the Gem State and is a critical industry to our economy. I am proud to support our miners!

Congrats, Teton Elementary!

This week, Teton Elementary in Fremont County was named a National Blue Ribbon School, a distinction it earned for being an “exemplary high-performing” school.

Teton Elementary has set a national example, and Idaho is very proud!
