This week, in honor of National Police Week, the House passed several pro-law enforcement bills highlighting our continued support for America's heroes behind the badge. I was proud to BACK THE BLUE and vote YES for these bills on the floor. God bless our law enforcement.

I also supported the Israel Security Assistance Support Act on the House floor this week. This legislation curbs President Biden's misguided efforts to withhold critical security resources appropriated in United States law by compelling the delivery of defense weapons to Israel as they fight to protect themselves against radical terrorists. This week, the United States Customs and Border Protection announced there were 179,725 illegal immigrant encounters at our southern border in April. This means April was the 38th straight month where monthly illegal immigrant encounters have been higher than even the highest month seen under President Trump. I believe that border security is national security, and that's why I proudly voted in favor of H.R.2, the Secure the Border Act - the strongest border security bill in history. Despite passing the House MORE THAN ONE YEAR AGO, Senate Democrats still refuse to bring H.R.2 to the Senate floor for a vote - allowing the Biden border crisis to rage on.

Law enforcement officers in Idaho and nationwide put their lives on the line and work tirelessly to protect our communities.

Their efforts do not go unnoticed, and they have my full support in Congress. Thank you for your sacrifice, unwavering dedication, and service.

Standing with Israel

President Biden's dangerous decision to withhold critical arms shipments to Israel undermines our great ally, emboldens our enemies like Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah, and jeopardizes our national security.

President Biden’s inappropriate pressuring of Israel and appeasement of his radical base sets a dangerous global precedent. The United States must send a clear message to the rest of the world – that we will continue to stand with Israel. I proudly supported that message by voting yes on the Israel Security Assistance Support Act.

Border Security is National Security

Many Americans—including my constituents in Idaho—consider the border crisis as their number one concern. The American people are smart. They know that every community has turned into a border community under this administration.

Since President Biden took office, there have been over 7.8 million illegal immigrant encounters at our southern border. Despite having the ability to put an end to this self-inflicted crisis, President Biden refuses to secure our borders. If President Biden were serious about securing our border, he would shut it down immediately and demand the Senate pass H.R.2.
