Our country is facing a crisis of suicide - particularly among our veterans. Growing awareness about veterans' mental health is critical, and I am proud to cosponsor legislation that looks at the factors that best prevent veteran suicide. Read more about the Not Just a Number Act below.
I am proud to announce—in coordination with Senators Crapo and Risch, Congressman Fulcher, and the U.S. Department of State—six Passport Fairs to be held throughout Idaho from May 29th to June 1st. These fairs will help Idahoans with their passport needs closer to home.
ICYMI: I questioned Interior Secretary Haaland on the out of touch Lava Ride Wind Project. I have yet to talk to ONE Magic Valley resident who supports this project. Yet, the Biden administration is continuing their approach to ram through renewable energy projects that lack local support. This approach doesn't fly in Idaho. As Chairman of the Interior and Environment Appropriations Subcommittee, I remain committed to ensuring Idahoans' voices are heard.
