We are still in full swing of Appropriations season! This week, the Full House Appropriations Committee approved the Fiscal Year 2024 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Bill and the Fiscal Year 2024 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Bill.

As Chairman of the House Interior and Environment Appropriations Subcommittee, securing critical funding for our state has been one of my top priorities. I've lived in Idaho's Second District nearly my entire life. I understand the issues and what Idahoans need help with. Fortunately, my position on the House Appropriations Committee gives me that opportunity to fight for you.

It was a pleasure meeting with FFA students from American Falls. One thing is for sure - these students have a bright future!

FY24 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Bill Advances

This week, the Full Committee approved the Fiscal Year 2024 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Bill. This bill reins in wasteful Washington spending and prioritizes funding for public safety and critical operations and maintenance programs.

It's a great responsibility to serve as Chairman of the House Interior and Environment Appropriations Subcommittee. It's my honor to ensure Idaho's projects and priorities are funded. It's also never been more important to control the purse strings of our federal government, and I will continue fighting against reckless government spending.

I'm proud to announce that funding for FOUR of my Community Project Funding proposals has advanced along with the FY24 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Bill, as well as numerous wins for Idaho in the FY24 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Bill.
