As Idaho’s population continues to grow, so do the number of court cases.

Unfortunately, the overwhelming number of cases creates a slower process for those Idahoans seeking justice. Adding a new judgeship will alleviate overburdened judges, reduce the caseload backlog, and provide justice promptly.

I once again ask the Judiciary Committee to correct this imbalance by sending this critical legislation to the House floor so it can get across the finish line.

The Biden administration recently announced that there were 302,034 illegal immigrants encountered at the southern border in December - the highest single month ever recorded! 

Make no mistake: House Republicans came ready to pass bills this week that will help secure our nation's borders. 

This week, we passed:

✅The Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act - this bill would impose criminal and immigration penalties for intentionally fleeing a pursuing Federal officer while operating a motor vehicle.

✅No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act - this bill creates a ground of inadmissibility and a ground of removability for illegal aliens who participated in the October 7th, 2023, terror attacks on Israel. 

✅Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act - this bill makes illegal migrants who have been convicted of driving while impaired inadmissible and deportable.

✅The Consequences for Social Security Fraud Act - this bill creates a new rule: if an illegal migrant is convicted of or admits to committing social security fraud or identification document fraud, they will no longer be eligible for immigration benefits.
