It was another busy week in Washington, and I'm honored to represent the people of Idaho's Second Congressional District.

This week, the House passed H.R. 2670 - the 2024 Fiscal Year National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). I proudly voted YES on this legislation.

We are still in full swing of Appropriations season! As a member of the House Appropriations Committee and Chairman of the House Interior and Environment Appropriations Subcommittee, my position on this Committee significantly benefits Idaho.

And a big thank you to those who joined my staff this week at our mobile office hours. We are here to help all constituents with specific needs with federal agencies, including Veterans Affairs, Social Security, or the Internal Revenue Service. NDAA Advances

The FY24 NDAA fully funds our national defense while cutting costs and improving efficiency, supports servicemembers, and their families, and strengthens oversight and fiscal accountability of the Pentagon.

The NDAA is a win for American families and our national security. I'm proud to honor the men and women in uniform by supporting this bill!

Appropriations Season

This week, the Full Appropriations Committee approved the FY24 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Bill. This bill supports our national security, protects life, supports American values, enhances economic competitiveness, reins in wasteful bureaucracy and enhances oversight and accountability.

It's a great responsibility to serve on the House Appropriations Committee. It's my honor to ensure Idaho's projects and priorities are funded. It’s also never been more important to control the purse strings of our federal government, and I will continue fighting against reckless government spending.
