Dear [salutation],
It was a busy week of Fiscal Year 2025 appropriations markups and meetings here in DC! From meeting with the Idaho Home Builders Association to three students from Victory Middle School who competed in the National History Day contest, I always enjoy meeting with Idahoans in our nation's capital.
This week, the House passed the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and Fiscal Year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The FY25 NDAA fully funds America’s national defense, improves servicemember quality of life, fully funds the deployment of National Guard troops at the southwest border, enhances military readiness, and takes important steps to address the security threats America faces from adversaries including China, Iran, and foreign terrorist organizations. I proudly voted YES on this critical legislation. Read my full statement below.
In case you missed it: This week, I announced my office's upcoming mobile office hours in June and July. The locations of the upcoming events include Glenns Ferry, Arco, Montpelier, Island Park, Dubois, Malad, Gooding, Driggs, Victor, Mountain Home, American Falls, Salmon, Challis, and Hailey, Idaho. More information on the locations and times of the events is listed below.
