Dear [salutation],
A lot of positive and productive news has come this week. Earlier this week, we learned that illegal border crossings hit a new low in March. President Trump's executive actions, supporting our brave border patrol agents, and passing laws like the Laken Riley Act have contributed significantly to this decrease. President Trump, House Republicans, and the American people understand that border security is national security.
Additionally, this week, the Department of Justice announced that it will surge FBI assets across the country to address unresolved violent crimes in Indian Country, including crimes relating to missing and murdered Indigenous persons. Last year, I held a hearing on the importance of addressing this ongoing crisis. I fully support the DOJ and Attorney General Pam Bondi's efforts to help prevent and respond to these cases.
In case you missed it: Last week, I announced that the Idaho Congressional Delegation will host our annual Service Academy Day on Saturday, April 12th. This event is excellent for young Idahoans and their families to learn about our nation's service academies. You can find more information below.
