What an exciting week in DC! America is back. I appreciated listening to President Trump earlier this week as he delivered a strong message about the renewal of the American Dream. While I was disappointed to see the reactions from my colleagues across the aisle, House Republicans will keep working with President Trump to execute American-first policies, reverse the damage done by the Biden administration, and restore common sense to keep the American Dream alive. The best is yet to come!
Small businesses make Idaho and our economy strong! That's why I cosponsored the Main Street Tax Certainty Act - legislation that would permanently extend Section 199A of the Internal Revenue Code, which is slated to expire at the end of this year. Should these tax cuts expire, small businesses will face an immediate and massive tax hike. You can read more about this bill below.
I always appreciate the opportunity to sit down with constituents and hear their priorities throughout weekly meetings. This week, I had the chance to chat with Idaho firefighters, Idaho onion growers, and the Wounded Warrior Project, to name a few. Bringing more Idaho values is exactly what we need in DC!
