This week, the Republican Conference of the House of Representatives held their leadership elections for the 119th Congress. I am pleased to congratulate Speaker Johnson, Majority Leader Scalise, Majority Whip Emmer, Conference Chair McClain, and the entire leadership team as we head into the next Congress.

In case you missed it: Last week, Idaho elected officials responded to the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) release of the Final Resource Management Plan for the Greater Sage-Grouse Land Use Plan Amendments and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The proposed amendments would affect 77 state-led sage-grouse resource management plans across the West. You can find our response here.

Congratulations to the Newly Elected House Leadership Team!

House Republicans are ready to hit the ground running on day one to deliver results for the American people in the 119th Congress.

I am confident that under House Leadership and with a Republican-controlled Senate and White House, Republicans will work hard to enact the Trump Agenda and get our country back on track.

Idaho Elected Officials on BLM Greater Sage-Grouse Amendment

The Biden-Harris administration is once again undermining and restricting local land managers and stakeholders throughout the West by finalizing its misguided greater sage-grouse protection proposal.

This proposal blatantly disregards states, local governments, and stakeholders who have implemented successful sage-grouse management plans.

I have been proud to champion the effort that prohibits federal funds from being used to enact federal listing of the greater sage-grouse, and I look forward to working with the incoming administration on pushing back against this rule.
