Happy New Year! With a Republican majority in both chambers of Congress and President Trump in the White House, 2025 will be the year we execute an American-first agenda. Now, let's get to work!

Earlier this week, the House reconvened for the start of the 119th Congress. In order to conduct legislative business, the House must elect a speaker. Speaker Mike Johnson is a proven leader, and I was proud to support his re-election as Speaker of the House. Read my full statement below.

Welcome to the 119th Congress!

The American people gave us a mandate in November, and now that the 119th Congress has officially begun, we are ready to hit the ground running. House Republicans will work with President Trump to:

Secure our borders.
Lower energy costs.
Restore fiscal responsibility.
Implement peace through strength policies.

Representing Idaho's Second District is the honor of a lifetime. I proudly took the oath of office and was officially sworn in to serve in the 119th Congress. I am deeply grateful for the continued trust of Idahoans.

Speaker Johnson is the Right Choice

Speaker Mike Johnson is a principled conservative and the right choice to lead the House.

I support President Trump, and President Trump supports Mike Johnson. The 119th Congress will be productive and exciting as we work to implement a conservative agenda. Time to get to work!
