Dear [salutation],
The August District Work Period has officially come to an end. It was a great month spent in Idaho's Second District. I appreciate all of the opportunities to meet with Idahoans on the ground. From Boise to Idaho Falls and Ketchum to Soda Springs, with many other cities in between, it was a productive month filled with valuable conversations and meetings.
One critical aspect of the District Work Period is identifying opportunities to assist Idaho communities in Congress. One of these ways is through Community Project Funding. In addition to meeting with Idahoans on the ground here, I have also been highlighting recent Community Funding Projects for which I have advanced funding.
As Idaho’s only appropriator, I have the unique opportunity to fight for Idaho’s priorities and ensure Idahoans’ hard-earned tax dollars return to Idaho. Community Funding Projects fill a clear and present need in communities across Idaho and enjoy broad community support. I firmly believe that your tax dollars should come home, rather than being spent on projects in blue states like New York or California. You can read about some of these projects below.
