It was a great week spent in Idaho's Second District. From Idaho Falls to Boise, I sat down with numerous hardworking Idahoans to discuss the benefits of the Working Families Tax Cuts.

Families across Idaho and the nation are keeping more of their hard-earned money thanks to the largest tax cut for working and middle-class families in United States history. I had the opportunity to tour a potato farm to discuss repealing the death tax and sit down with the Garden City Police Chief to discuss no tax on overtime.

Make no mistake! The results are real for Idaho families. Without these tax cuts for working families, Idahoans would have faced a 24% tax hike in the New Year. Instead, a typical Idaho family of four will keep an estimated $12,200 more every year. You can read my latest op-ed on the Working Families Tax Cuts here.

Eliminating the Death Tax!

There is nothing like spending time on a family-owned potato farm while in Idaho. Idaho is home to more than 24,000 farms, where 95% of these farms are owned by families.

The death tax has long crushed family farms, ranches, and businesses. Thankfully, the tax cuts for working families protect two million family farms by raising the death tax exemption - making it easier to pass farms to the next generation. This was a promise made, promise kept by President Trump and Republicans!

No Tax on Overtime!

It was an honor to meet with Garden City Police Chief Cory Stambaugh earlier this week. The no-tax on overtime included in the Working Families Tax Cut is a game-changer for police officers in Idaho and nationwide.

When officers stay up late, miss holidays, or work after hours to keep us safe, they should keep what they earn. Those who work overtime - especially our law enforcement - are among the hardest working Americans in our country. No tax on overtime is a promise made, promise kept by President Trump and Republicans!

Attending the Oklo Groundbreaking at INL

Earlier this week, I had the honor of attending the Oklo groundbreaking ceremony at the Idaho National Laboratory. It was a pleasure to attend this fantastic event with my Idaho colleagues, Governor Little, Governor Cox, and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin.

This is an incredible achievement for INL as America's lead nuclear energy research laboratory, Oklo, and the State of Idaho. I am looking forward to what's to come!
