Some of my proudest moments in Congress have come from the bipartisan Newborn Screening Saves Lives Act. From its signing into law in 2008 to the updates and building upon the legislation throughout the years, I have been proud to champion efforts for this landmark legislation.

Rep. Simpson's Six Month Report Card
 

It's an honor to serve and fight for you in Congress. I've been proud to support bills that deliver for Idaho's Second District, including the historic passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill. 


I've also been proud to cosponsor and or support bills that support the Trump administration's policy goals, including:

  • Cosponsoring Bill to Codify Remain in Mexico into Law
  • Codifying Trump’s Agenda with SBA & Sanctuary Cities
  • Supporting the Administration’s Title IX Efforts
  • Voting to Restrict Illegals from Voting
 

Reauthorizing the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Act
 

For years, the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Act has provided parents with additional resources, enabling early identification and treatment for their babies.


Reauthorizing this bipartisan legislation will continue to save lives, support families, and reduce long-term healthcare costs. As a former dentist, I know firsthand the value of early diagnosis and treatment, which is why I've been proud to champion efforts to reauthorize this program. You can read more about this bill here.
