God bless our law enforcement. As National Police Week comes to a close, I'd like to highlight several efforts the House took to honor America's brave men and women in blue this week.

In addition to backing the men and women of law enforcement, the House also passed legislation that supports our veterans by fully funding veterans' health care programs and benefits. One of my top priorities in Congress is supporting our troops and veterans and backing the blue!

Last but certainly not least, I was pleased to meet with Idaho National Laboratory Director Dr. John Wagner earlier this week. INL, which is in my district, is the nation's lead nuclear lab. I always appreciate meeting with Dr. Wagner to discuss the legislative action needed to grow investments in nuclear research and development.

Backing the Blue

In times of emergencies, the men and women in blue respond. It is vital that they have the resources necessary to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.

My House Republican colleagues and I are committed to ensuring this support. I will always stand behind our law enforcement and support efforts to defend these brave individuals, not defund.

Fully Funding Veterans' Health Care

I proudly supported the Fiscal Year 2027 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Bill earlier this week. By fully funding veterans’ health care programs and benefits, investing in mental health services, prioritizing funding for military family housing, and so much more, this legislation fulfills our promises to those who have sacrificed so greatly for our country.

This is a must-pass bill each year to honor the brave men and women who have courageously served.

It is always great to see INL Director Dr. John Wagner. Thanks to his leadership and the Trump administration's efforts in launching a nuclear renaissance, INL remains the heart of nuclear innovation.
