Dear [salutation],

It was another busy week here in DC. Among several meetings with Idahoans and voting on critical bills, I was proud to cosponsor several pieces of legislation this week, including honoring Constitution Day. More to come on these other bills and resolutions soon!

The escalating crime crisis in our cities is a big concern for the majority of Americans. That's why, this week, I voted in favor of critical bills to make DC safe again. These bills examine soft-on-crime policies, the historic surge in juvenile crime, law enforcement’s response to the crime crisis, and general oversight of DC.

Just over one week ago, Charlie Kirk's life was taken far too soon by an evil and hateful individual. I was grateful to see the House come together and pass a resolution honoring Charlie's life and legacy. However, I was disappointed that fifty-eight of my Democrat colleagues voted against this resolution.

Meeting with the Boise Chamber

Whether in Idaho or DC, I always enjoy meeting with the Boise Chamber.

We had a productive conversation about how Idahoans will benefit from the working families tax cuts legislation and Idaho's influence in the nuclear renaissance under the Trump administration. Thank you for swinging by!

Making DC Safe Again

Before the Trump administration’s crime crackdown efforts, the statistics of violent crime in DC were startling. Now, violent crime in the city has reached a historic low. Addressing crime and ensuring the safety of the public should not be a partisan issue – every American should feel safe when visiting our nation’s capital.

I was proud to support these critical bills on the House floor this week, which will continue to restore safety and law and order in DC. You can read more about these bills here.

Honoring the Life and Legacy of Charlie Kirk

The horrific murder of Charlie Kirk sent shockwaves and devastation throughout our nation, and while I have been extremely disgusted to see some of the celebratory reactions online, I am even more encouraged to see Charlie’s legacy and work live on through patriotic Americans.

As we continue to mourn his loss and pray for his loved ones, Americans can take comfort in knowing his life will never be forgotten and his memory will continue to inspire future generations to come.
