Floor Schedule | Committee Activity The Simpson StandardJune 14th, 2026 Dear [salutation], Between meetings and legislative business, it was a productive week in DC. The House Appropriations Committee successfully advanced two more bills. Additionally, the House passed critical bills to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government, as I mentioned last week.  As Idaho continues to grow, it is essential that medical centers expand and modernize throughout the state, particularly in rural regions. As Idaho's only appropriator, I recently advanced funding for four medical centers in Idaho. You can learn more about this funding below.  Idahoans understand how vital agriculture is to our state - it is the backbone of our economy. I've proudly supported several legislative efforts to support Idaho agriculture, including the One Big Beautiful Bill, the Farm Bill, and most recently, the Fiscal Year 2027 Agriculture Appropriations Bill. Thankfully, FFA chapters around the state are helping students develop skills and leadership abilities in agriculture. I was happy to see Idaho FFA students earlier this week in DC!

Dear [salutation],

Between meetings and legislative business, it was a productive week in DC.

Idaho Meets with AG Todd Blanche

It was a busy week here in DC! I always enjoy seeing Idahoans out here, so it was great to see Governor Little, as we had several meetings with officials from the Trump administration, including Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Advancing Funding for Idaho Healthcare

Throughout my time in Congress, I have remained committed to supporting rural healthcare in Idaho. This week, the House Committee on Appropriations advanced the Fiscal Year 2027 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill, which includes nearly $4 million in funding for four of my projects that support Idaho healthcare.

I'm proud to advocate for this federal funding and pleased to support Steele Memorial Medical Center, Minidoka Memorial Hospital, Franklin County Medical Center, and Madison Memorial Hospital.

Great Seeing Idaho FFA Students!

It was so great to see so many FFA students from Idaho in DC earlier this week! I applaud their efforts to become future leaders in the agricultural industry.

I've said this before, and I'll continue to say it: the future of Idaho agriculture is in great hands!
