Dear [salutation],
Between meetings and legislative business, it was a productive week in DC. The House Appropriations Committee successfully advanced two more bills. Additionally, the House passed critical bills to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government, as I mentioned last week.
As Idaho continues to grow, it is essential that medical centers expand and modernize throughout the state, particularly in rural regions. As Idaho's only appropriator, I recently advanced funding for four medical centers in Idaho. You can learn more about this funding below.
Idahoans understand how vital agriculture is to our state - it is the backbone of our economy. I've proudly supported several legislative efforts to support Idaho agriculture, including the One Big Beautiful Bill, the Farm Bill, and most recently, the Fiscal Year 2027 Agriculture Appropriations Bill. Thankfully, FFA chapters around the state are helping students develop skills and leadership abilities in agriculture. I was happy to see Idaho FFA students earlier this week in DC!
