Biden's Economic Woes
Americans are spending about 20% more while making less thanks to record levels of inflation.
Many of you can expect to pay an average of $175 more per month on basic needs like food and fuel. Yet Biden administration officials will call your concerns about inflation "high class problems."
Inflation is real and is creating hardships for most Americans. Suggesting anything else is out of touch.
In addition, the U.S. national debt officially crossed the threshold of $28 Trillion this week. Thanks to President Biden and the Democrats spending plans, we could see our debt increase beyond $30 Trillion by this time next year. This is reckless.
Idahoans have made it clear that that growing government and saddling our children and grandchildren with debt are unacceptable. If we want to improve economic conditions in this country, Congress must act more responsibly in the short-term.
This means drastically reducing discretionary spending and more importantly, reforming entitlement programs, which are the major drivers of our debt, and fundamentally reforming our tax code. It also means passing a balanced budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
