This week, House Republicans elected Congressman Mike Johnson (R-LA) as our 56th Speaker of the House. Mr. Johnson is a great man and will make an excellent Speaker. You can read my full statement below.

The People's House wasted no time in getting back to work. Immediately after Mr. Johnson got sworn in as Speaker, the House passed a resolution that reaffirms United States support for Israel and condemns Hamas’ brutal war against Israel.

DON'T DO IT! I am proud to announce the Idaho Delegation is working to ensure Idahoans are not trampled by the Lava Ridge Wind Project. This week, I introduced legislation in the House against this out-of-touch project. Check out more below!

Congratulations, Speaker Johnson!

I am proud to congratulate Mike Johnson on being elected Speaker of the House. I look forward to working with Speaker Johnson and getting this nation back on track.

Standing with Israel

I voted in favor of H.Res.771, a resolution standing with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists.

Now more than ever, the world needs to see the United States firmly stands with Israel. Israel has the right to defend itself and its people against the horrific and unprecedented Hamas terrorist attacks. The United States must stand in solidarity with one of our nation’s strongest allies, and I am proud to support Israel by voting in favor of this resolution.

Don't DO IT!

This week, I led the Don’t Develop Obstructive Infrastructure on our Terrain (Don’t DO IT) Act in the House, with support from Rep. Russ Fulcher. Senators Jim Risch and Mike Crapo are leading the bill in the Senate.

The Lava Ridge Wind Project has proven to be out of touch with Idahoans. Throughout the last year, I have taken significant actions in opposing this project and advocating for Idaho’s best interests.

The Don’t DO IT Act is common-sense legislation that puts the people of Idaho first. I will always work to protect Idahoans’ way of life, and I am proud to work with the Idaho Delegation and ensure the Magic Valley is not trampled by this proposal.
