Rep. Simpson Votes to Stand with Israel

WASHINGTON— Today, Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson voted in favor of H.Res.771, a resolution standing with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists. This bipartisan resolution - introduced by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Ranking Member Gregory W. Meeks (D-NY) - reaffirms United States support for Israel and condemns Hamas’ brutal war against Israel.

“Now more than ever, the world needs to see the United States firmly stands with Israel,” said Rep. Simpson, an original cosponsor of this resolution. “Israel has the right to defend itself and its people against the horrific and unprecedented Hamas terrorist attacks. The United States must stand in solidarity with one of our nation’s strongest allies, and I am proud to support Israel by voting in favor of this resolution.”

The resolution passed with a vote of 412-10. The full text of the resolution can be found here.
