My stance has always been to protect the right of life of the unborn. This week, I proudly voted YES on two crucial pieces of pro-life legislation - the Pregnant Students' Rights Act and the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act. You can read more about these bills below.

The unfair Death Tax crushes Idaho family farms, ranches, and businesses. This week, I took legislative action to protect Idahoans from this absurd tax hike. You can learn more below.

Shutting down the government does not solve the border crisis. Instead, it leaves our brave border patrol agents wondering about the status of their next paycheck. With record-high rates of fentanyl coming across our border, I voted to keep paying our border security agents and keep our government operating.

Pro-Life Legislation

I have been consistent on pro-life issues since entering Congress, and I am proud to reaffirm my strong pro-life record this week.

In addition to voting YES on the Pregnant Students' Rights Act and the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act, I also cosponsored H.R.431 - the Life at Conception Act. This bill declares that the right to life guaranteed by the Constitution is vested in each human being at all stages of life.

Repealing the Death Tax

This week, I cosponsored the Death Tax Repeal Act of 2023. This bill would permanently repeal the unfair death tax, providing relief to family-owned businesses, farms, and ranches from being hit by the hefty tax that occurs on the transfer of property or other assets from a deceased family member.

Repealing this burdensome estate tax will drive job creation, grow the economy, and shield families from this unfair high tax burden that results from the loss of a loved one. Families across Idaho who have worked hard to build up a successful farm or small business should not be punished by our tax code. I am proud to cosponsor this legislation and protect Idahoans from outrageous tax hikes.

I Voted to Keep Paying Border Security Agents

This week, I voted in favor of a stop-gap funding measure that modifies the two expiration dates established in the second continuing resolution, keeping our government open and funded.

Make no mistake: threatening the pay of our troops, border security agents, veterans' benefits, and many other necessary programs is irresponsible.
