This week, we celebrated the birth of our great nation. May we always remember the freedoms we enjoy in this country and honor the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect them.
Appropriations season is in full swing, and the Appropriations Committee has had a busy couple of weeks. The Appropriations Committee is responsible for funding the federal government's vital activities to keep the United States safe, strong, and moving forward. As Idaho's only appropriator, I am honored to sit on this committee and fight for Idaho's projects and priorities.
In case you missed it: I always take time around the Fourth of July to honor the sacrifices and service of our nation’s troops and veterans. Last week, I released an op-ed highlighting two critical pieces of legislation the House passed that supports our servicemembers and veterans.
