Idaho ranks No. 1 in five ag commodities

Idaho and our agriculture industry ranked number 1 in five different agriculture commodities in 2021, and were among the top producers in many other categories.

Idaho’s past, present, and future are tied to agriculture. While recent years have provided many challenges to this industry, I am proud of the resilience of our growers and producers.

As your representative in Congress, I have a strong responsibility to ensure that Idaho’s agriculture sector can continue to thrive in the future.

Fiscal Responsibility

Like most Idahoans, I am deeply troubled by the United States’ growing debt. Especially over the last few years. The impact of an ever increasing debt, if allowed to grow unchecked, can be disastrous for the economy.

Unfortunately, without serious efforts to turn our debt crisis around, it is likely that the Treasury Department will be forced to continue to sell vast amounts of debt to finance the prospected record budget deficits -- exacerbating the crisis. If we want to improve economic conditions in this country, Congress must act by reining in reckless budget deficits.
