Memorial Day 2022

Since May 30, 1868, Americans have celebrated Memorial Day. This holiday weekend is more than barbeques and fun with family and friends. Memorial Day is an opportunity to remember and honor those who have served and who sacrificed their lives for our great country.

In the first Memorial Day celebration at Arlington National Cemetery, then future-President James Garfield said, "We do not know one promise these men made, one pledge they gave, one word they spoke; but we do know they summed up and perfected, by one supreme act, the highest virtues of men and citizens."

Visiting with the Idaho Potato Commission

This week I had the privilege to meet with the Idaho Potato Commission's Agriculture Affairs group to discuss the important things happening in Washington and how I am advocating for Idaho's most famous crop.

The past, present, and future of Idaho are tied to agriculture. As your representative in Congress, I have a strong responsibility to ensure that Idaho’s agriculture sector can continue to thrive in the future. I look forward to working with the Idaho Potato Commission and all of Idaho's producers to ensure that happens.
