Simpson Announces New Press Secretary Julia Horman

Washington, D.C.  - Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson is pleased to announce an addition to his press staff, Julia Horman. Horman will be his Press Secretary located in the Washington office and will manage daily media activities. 

Horman grew up in Idaho Falls and attended school at Brigham Young University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Simpson first hired Horman in March 2021 as a Legislative Assistant and Correspondent and is excited she is taking on this new position.

“Julia is an incredible asset to the Second Congressional District of Idaho,” said Simpson. “She knows the issues that are important to my constituents and has an extensive background in communications. I’m very pleased that she is going to join my press team.”

Before joining Simpson’s congressional staff, she interned in his Washington office, worked as a Copywriter for the BYU AdLab, and was also a Research Assistant for Dr. Clark Callahan, professor of Research Methods in the School of Communications at BYU.
