Simpson Congratulates 2023 Congressional Art Competition Winner

Washington, D.C. – Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson today congratulated Abigail Armstrong from Buhl High School on winning the 2023 Congressional Art Competition in Idaho’s 2nd Congressional District.

Armstrong’s watercolor, titled Marble Fox was selected by Congressman Simpson and the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho among 82 works of art submitted by high school students across the 2nd District.  This year’s theme was Idaho’s Iconic Species.  All artwork submitted to the competition will be showcased at the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho through April 29.

“I am always impressed by the talents of young Idahoans who participate in this competition.  I applaud their efforts, their love for Idaho, and the unfailing support from art teachers and the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho each year,” said Simpson.  “Congratulations to every student who participated, and I look forward to seeing Abigail’s artwork displayed in the United States Capitol this summer.”
