Rep. Simpson Honors Constitution Day

WASHINGTON—This week, Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson cosponsored a congressional resolution expressing support for Constitution Day. Constitution Day is observed annually on September 17th to commemorate the signing of the United States Constitution. This bipartisan resolution was introduced by Reps. Aderholt (R-AL) and Watson Coleman (D-NJ).

“We the People – these powerful words continue to defend our freedoms, preserve our rights, and remind us of the principles that have guided our nation for the last 238 years. The United States Constitution is the most transformative and divine document in American history, which has served as an anchor for our freedoms. We are fortunate to call the greatest and freest nation in the world our home, thanks to this document and the 39 brave delegates who signed it,” said Rep. Simpson.

Forty-seven bipartisan members have signed on as original cosponsors Constitution Day resolution.
