Rep. Simpson Announces Class of 2030 Service Academy Nominations

WASHINGTON— Today, Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson announced the nomination of 18 Idaho students to the United States Military Academies. Every year, Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five service academies. After the candidates receive their nominations, the Academies will evaluate the students’ applications and make the final decision on admittance.

“Our nation’s military academies provide students with an excellent opportunity to serve our country while pursuing a higher education,” said Rep. Simpson. “It is one of my great honors every year to nominate Idaho students to have this experience and become the next generation of military leaders. Our servicemembers make significant sacrifices to protect our freedoms, and I applaud these students who yearn to defend our way of life.”
