Simpson Announces 2023 Service Academy Nominations

Washington, D.C. – Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson today announced the candidates nominated for potential appointment to one of our nation’s service academies. Nominees show excellence in academics, volunteering in their communities, and participation in extra-curricular activities. In addition to these accomplishments, candidates need to obtain a congressional nomination. Congressman Simpson has nominated nine candidates to the United States Air Force Academy, five to the United States Military Academy, 10 to the United States Naval Academy, and four to the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Many candidates earned nominations to multiple academies.

“I am pleased to nominate these promising young Idahoans for potential appointment to a U.S. military academy,” said Simpson. “I commend them for their notable achievements to this point and for their honorable desire to serve this nation.
